Dr John Bilenki brings his long-standing passion for health to General Practice. After initially graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences, he underwent a Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy. He utilized holistic health and patient centred care to help rehabilitation his patients following a variety of injuries and conditions, including strokes, heart attacks, spinal injuries, and anxiety/depression. Following this, he pursued his interest in medicine, moved to Australia and graduated medical school at The University of Queensland.
Subsequently, Dr Bilenki worked across multiple sites in Queensland as an Orthopaedic Registrar. During this time, he developed a strong interest in research and sports medicine. He is skilled at surgical procedures, casting, and musculoskeletal management. While he brings his interest for sports medicine to General Practice, his passion remains patient centred care and helping patients live long healthy lives.
Dr Hannah Gough grew up in the Noosa Hinterland town of Kin Kin and has since taken every opportunity to gain a wide range of experience in the medical field, whilst studying and working abroad. Even before completion of her medical degree in Berlin, Hannah realised that General Practice was her passion.
Through her training and work in Germany, Switzerland and Portugal, Hannah has had the opportunity to acquire knowledge in a wide range of healthcare settings, which included working as a doctor in several hospitals and General Practices in urban and rural areas over the past 8 years. She believes in empowering and educating her patients to lead a healthy life, both mentally and physically. Hannah takes a holistic approach to medicine and really enjoys the diversity of patients she can help working in General Practice. She is dedicated to providing the best medical care to patients of all ages. Hannah also strongly believes that patients should be involved as much as possible when it comes to managing any health problems. Hannah enjoys all aspects of General Practice and has a special interest in antenatal shared care, procedural work such as Implanon and Mirena/copper IUD insertion and removal, paediatrics and preventive medicine.
Hannah is really looking forward to returning to the Noosa Hinterland to provide the community with genuine, patient-centred care.
Outside of work, Hannah enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and two children, with climbing being a passion shared by all members of the family.
Hannah speaks fluent German and Portuguese.

Hannah is excited to be joining the team at Maple Street Surgery and being a part of the hinterland community.
Hannah is working 4 days a week.
After graduating from the University of Western Ontario in 2008, Hannah escaped the long cold winter of her native Canada and ventured to Australia on a working holiday which has never ended. She went on to complete her Medical degree from The University of Queensland in 2013 and has been happy to call the Sunshine Coast her home ever since.
She has a passion for primary care with interests including paediatrics, women’s health and is intrigued by all facets of general medicine.
She has enthusiasm for maintaining an active, balanced lifestyle and encourages adaptation of preventative health measures with patients of all ages. Her goal is to help all patients achieve their healthiest and happiest life.

Dr Hunt grew up in Belli Park and is very much the definition of an Australian trained and locally based Queensland doctor. Ros who has been practicing in Cooroy since 2020 and is excited to be a part of the Maple Street Surgery team where she can continue to provide the quality care her patients are accustomed to.
Ros believes in a holistic approach to medicine, so she is interested in all aspects of General Practice including procedural work like Implanon insertion/removal and skin excisions.
4 days a week
Dr Jennifer Celestino has worked in Cooroy for some time and has a special interest in the following;
– skin cancer screening & skin diseases
– women and child health
– preventative and chronic disease management
– mental health and indigenous health.
Dr Celestino is passionate about consistently providing the quality medical care and support her patients are used to.
4 days a week: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
Dr Hasan has been practicing in the Imbil and Gympie area since 2021 and is very much looking forward to once again looking after the local hinterland community
He is interested in all aspects of general practice including Skin Cancer medicine, Mental health, Men’s and Women’s health, Paediatrics, Pregnancy care, Chronic disease management and minor procedures.
Dr Hasan has a special interest in Skin Cancer Medicine and Dermatology (currently undergoing postgraduate diploma) and mental health having finished his training in mental health from GPMHSC.
In his free time, Dr Hasan enjoys walking on the beach with his wife, watching soccer and travelling the world when he can manage a few weeks break.

Dr. Antoinette du Toit obtained her MBChB at the University of Pretoria in 2002, She furthered her studies in the management of diabetes at the Centre for Diabetes and Endocrinology in South Africa and also took various accredited courses in Aesthetic medicine and the application of stem cell therapies in the arena of aesthetics and clinical medical practices. Throughout her professional career, Dr. du Toit has consistently demonstrated passion, vision, dedication and diligence necessary to experience great success in the entrepreneurial arena and in all of her professional endeavor’s. She will be offering both general practice consultations as well as aesthetic procedures at Maple Street Medical Centre.

Dr Lisha Pollocks MBBS / DCH / FRACGP is working 5 days a week at Maple Street Surgery and enjoys being a part of the vibrant hinterland community. Dr Lisha initially worked in Dubai for 10 years before first moving to Gladstone in 2017 then deciding that the Sunshine Coast was the perfect place to settle her family and to practice as a GP. Continuity of care is very important to Dr Lisha and Cooroy is where she wishes to practice for many years to come and she believes in genuine patient care and giving back to the community. Dr Lisha has completed an additional study (Post Graduate Diploma in Children’s Health) and is dedicated to servicing the medical needs of patients of all ages. She has a special interest in Children’s Health, Skin Cancer Medicine and Skin Checks, Women’s Health, Chronic wound care and Diseases like Diabetes/Asthma and Heart Disease, Mirena Insertion, Pregnancy Management, Maternity Care.
Dr Phillips is a UK-trained GP who moved to the sunshine coast 2 years ago. He enjoys all aspects of family medicine with a particular interest in the care of the elderly, chronic disease, medical education and all aspects of mental health. He aims to give patients the best possible understanding of their health conditions and involve patients as much as possible in decisions made about their treatment. Outside of medicine he enjoys spending time with his wife and four kids and exploring the beaches and hinterland of the sunshine coast.
Dr Phillips works 5 days a week and wants to retire at Maple Street Surgery. That’s a commitment to long term patient care!
Dr Leon Venter has worked throughout Australia in general practice and rural hospitals whose main interest lies in male health.
